The beginning of the school year is one of the busiest (and most exciting!) times in the library. Over the years, I’ve learned that having ready-to-go, low-stress tools at the start of the year can help set the tone for everything that follows. That’s exactly why I put together the "BBITL August/September Choice Board"- a collection of posters, activities, and visuals you can choose from to help launch your library year smoothly and confidently.

This is just meant to make your life easier—not add more to your plate. Whether you need a quick bulletin board, a reminder for library routines, or a fun first-week activity, it’s all in one place so you can spend more time actually connecting with your students.

Today, I'm delighted to share a FREEVIEW version of the BBITL August/September Choice Board with you! Feel free to use it digitally in your space and see how it works for you. If you decide you’d like to print it out or make copies for your library, the full set of printable PDFs is available here:

This year, I’m leaning into comics-inspired graphics because they’re fun, fresh, and students respond really well to them I always try to provide lots of visuals in my library space because they help students of all learning styles. Visual cues are great for reinforcing expectations, re-centering after breaks, and keeping class management on track without extra talking.

Check out the FREEVIEW and see what you think! If it works for you, you can grab the full version anytime. Try it out here!

Let’s make this year a good one—right from the start.
